Human Target Season 2 - enetering the 'cancellation hall of fame'
Human Target season 2 starts on Syfy this Thursday. Now, as most of you have probably heard the series has been cancelled in the states which is disappointing. But we're really glad at least that we have a whole premiere season ahead of us. You know that Christopher Chance is going to bow out with a bang.
Unfortunately after it finishes Human Target will be joining an illustrious list of shows that have been cancelled before their time (Firefly, V, Legend of the Seeker, etc).
Our newest blogger, David McIntee has put together this Top 10 list of cool shows that shouldn't have been cancelled - http://www.syfy.co.uk/blog/10-tv-shows-shouldnt-have-been-cancelled
Which shows particularly stand out for you as shows that should have carried on? Any shows that aren't on the list that you think should be?
Another show that I love, abandoned! I will enjoy season 2 it's a shame that studios lack faith and ignore fans of shows, I hope we get closure!
What a huge disappointment. Watched both shows of the new series launch last night and noted comments from another blog which state that this will be the last series. I am not surprised. What TV executive genius insisted that there should be female character crowbarred into the regular cast? Both of Pucci and Ames are caricatures of the worst kind and poorly-acted too; it has ruined the dynamic that made the first season so enjoyable. And the new theme tune is just a pale imitation of the original. Guess i will stick with the fond memories of the first season and free up my Thursday nights.
On the theme tune, I agree, the S1 theme was much better, but I'm OK with the new characters so far; I'm just sad to see another good show cancelled.
...Love the show but it doesn't make much difference how many newbies or females they put in, because it's not true to the storyline anyways ..
- He is supposed to disguise himself as the person he is protecting and that's never happened on our screens ever! What they made of it was good but I'm gutted too that it's ending as I loved Season 2 !
:(
Why do we keep watching these shows, getting involved in the lives of the characters, becoming absorbed by the worlds they inhabit only to have them all snatched away before their time. Leaving us irritated, infuriated and astounded that yet again we were taken in by the possibility that maybe, this one will get through the networks obsession with numbers rather than quality.
The advertisers say that the money is in the hands of certain demographics, hence the plethora of hard-assed successful women in charge of a team investigating stuff shows...it doesn't matter what the stuff is, the viewers that the advertisers want to get to are giving them big numbers to play with.
So Firefly, Human Target, The Cape, etc etc etc all fall so we can have more reality BS, quiz shows and hard assed career women and their teams investigating...stuff. So many great programs have gone this way over the years that I've lost count. Maybe it's time that those of us who care, started to boycott the networks that do this to the programs we love......
A good entertaining programme, just a shame it was cancelled.
Does anyone know if season 2 will be made available to buy on DVD? I sincerely hope so.

Crusade; it was really hitting its stride by about halfway through its only season. I was initially dubious, but I'm glad I have it on DVD as part of the full B5 set. Though Legend Of The Rangers? Kill with fire...
