V comes to an end

Does this mean there is no Season III in the making?

I would have had an all out war in season 3, seasons 1 and 2 were the build up, season 3 should be the war.... Why couldnt they have made one more season at least? This is so freaking annoying i love this show and i want to see what happens as do thousands of other people across the globe do.

I would have made Season 3 all about the war and make it a kick ass season as seasons 1 and 2 were just a build up, so season 3 should be about nothing but the humans fighting back after Anna's plans become public knowledge. Unfortunately, audiences are dwindling in America, hence the reason this has probably been cancelled but ABC are ran by morons and SyFy chan in USA should commission season 3 as they have commissed other things in the past. The season finale to season 2 was awesome and now we're left hanging to maybe never know the outcome of everything. ABC need to stop basing their viewing figures on US audiences alone and in America they have did the same thing with 24 when viewing figures fell. It is always the way, we get a good tv series and it gets cancelled while we get flooded with reality tv rubbish filled with talent free egotistical morons who are not worthy of breathing the same air as the rest of us. I am rapidly running out of things to watch on tv now.

I would have syfy buy the rights to the show and get them to make season 3.

Wow, I thought the series was awesome! I agree with Lieva, Syfy should buy the rights for the series as i am tired of silly US programme controllers blocking good programmes because their local audience don't appreciate them.

I lead a busy life here in the UK, dont watch much TV but LOVE watching V every Thursday... I look forward to it. I watched all the old V series (very dated now, however still a classic) when is was out years ago and still remember the fight.

This series is too drawn out, not enough action and to not make a third season is like watching all blockbuster movies for two thirds then switching them off, never knowing the outcome. The current V now, ABC or SYFY, who ever it is... YOU ARE LEAVING US V FANS DANGLING & THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

If a 3rd season was not on the cards, why make 1 and 2 in the first place? If this is the case, then I've just wasted my Thursday nights when I could of watched something else, because there is no conclusion to this.

SYFY - pick this up now, lets get a kick-ass 3rd season on paper now, all out war between those slimey rat eating lizards, infiltrate their security and systems, create another deadly virus, turn their blue energy against them (hey, that shit's the only stuff from stopping them dropping outta the sky yeah? there has to be a switch somewhere right?!lol) .

As it stands, Lisa has been rumbled and a clone made in her place. Joshua still walks freely, get him to free the real Lisa and slap that silly bitch and make her SEE what her annoying, species-conquering, dominering mother is really like, however she should already now this after seeing her former Queen killed. After Lisa is free'd, get her down to the fifth column for a stern telling off, things like, 'erm, Lisa, that stunt you pulled means, us, the human race is gonna perish of a horrible and painful death?'

Get Lisa GI JOE'd up with attitude, assassinate the imposter, switch places, get close to Anna then nail that bitch!!! (round 2 for Lisa). Meanwhile, all out war between lizard-lips & us, breaking that precious blue energy that'll be the end of them and finding somehow for reverse that BLISS shit onto them instead. Or use it to control us to fight a massive war, the list is endless, bring it on!!!!

So sad .... what are you thinking of ABC ??!!!! We need a series 3 and we need it NOW ..... You cannot leave the V hanging like that .

It is so typical of the yanks to cancel a great series such a V. It was an very good remake of the eighties original. I would have set the stage for the 5th column and humans to stage all out war against the Anna and her V's, I would have also reserected another ghost from the oringinal series in the form of Micheal Ironside as the leader of the human resistance, who knew that they would be here, he then passes his secrets onto the new resistance leader Erica. Meanwhile a recsue attempt is made for Lisa as she is going to be the key to the Humans and V's survival but dose not yet know it, as she is carrying Erica's grandaughter. After rescuing Lisa and having given birth, the baby grows fast as we know, this leads to a hybrid showdown at the end of series 3, leaving the door open for series 4.

Series 3 has to be made some way. Look its not even made in the states it's made in Canada. I think the fanbase can pull together to get the third series made.

Yet another good show thrown out; Yeah it was sometimes slow moving, but it had me tuning in every week!

I guess we'll never know what the plan was next.

But if you could Syfy; you should get the rights and continue the story. V should have been a SyFy US show not ABC. Is there any wonder it didn't find an audience over there mixed in with ABC's soap & reality drivel?

Oh, and in the spirit of this thread. I think it was time for a little win for us, first two series have really seen the V's benefiting. It's time to dent that slightly.

Though it's too soon for Anna's downfall, she's just too good at being evil!

Noooo! V Was absolutely damn bloody brilliant. The best Sci Fi on TV apart from The Walking Dead.

As far as TV goes V was up there with the best, weekly sub-plot stories set within a larger framework that built up to a spectacular ending.

Surely Scyfy can bang their fist on the table on this one, or get together with channel 5 or even better still the BBC and fund a new series - V - Armageddon or V - Resurrection or even better.... V - LONDON! Like CSI only more exciting..

It was all set up to get even harder, darker and faster paced with both Lisa and agent evans now placed to demonstrate that "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", Marcus is ready to turn brutus and stab Anna in the back for being too emotional.

The possibilities are endless, as it is clearly suggested in the show that there are other races out there that the V's have seriously peed off on their travels, and I remember in the original 80's series a signal was sent into space calling for help from the V's arch enemies.

None of my mates and family had heard of The Walking Dead until it went on terrestrial channel 5, now EVERYONE is talking about it.

If V gets a similar shot, using the good faith of the walking dead, V should be a UK massive hit.

As the vast majority of V is CGI and doesnt appear reliant on huge sets, surely another channel can take it on, HBO, or someone in Europe????????

Madness, utter utter madness.

1) Blue energy has been mastered by the human 5th column and 'weaponised' and so the remaining humans have an equal ability to fight back.

2) Marcus clearly is unimpressed with Anna, and can become a dark sinister scheming figure behind her back after all, who is up on those other 500+ ships in orbit? Surely a King, a Sister, that wants the throne?.

3) The 'new' halfbreed Lisa copy becomes jealous of the human halfbreed little girl and schemes with Marcus on how to sabotage or kill the one that has stolen her place beside the queen. Marcus and other V's view the half human child and its ability to bliss human minds with utter disgust as an insult to their species and their superiority in the universe.

4) Joshua can bring tyler back to life, as proven with his own resurrection, and Tyler being a trained pilot can become a key soldier for the resistance in using V ships, shuttles etc and getting onboard motherships.

5) Lisa and Tyler can still end up together, as the human skin is clearly changing the V's within it and Lisa could eventually have her DNA changed to 100% human, kind of based on the 'Frog Prince' childrens story where Tyler kisses his frog (lizard) princess and gets his wish come true.

6) The religious undertones, so cleverly played on throughout seasons 1+2, can continue with Father Jack being strung up by a lynch mob akin to the Jesus bible story on the influence of Anna's bliss to humiliate Jack and as a warning to anyone left attempting to challenge her.

7) Grand Finale, Marcus and the new half breed princess perform a coup d'etat and kill the child half-breed. They make the rest of the V fleet turn against Anna and are forced to leave earth forever on the emergency alert that other aliens/original 5th column fleets have been identified as coming to get revenge on the V's, having located them in static orbit around the earth for some time (The V's appear to be on the run and so took a great risk staying for so long at earth.

Anna, left alone and aware she has no future, tries to destroy the earth in one final act of 'human' spite in attempting to destroy her own last remaining ship in the earths atmosphere to kill all human life below, and all V life above in orbit trying to escape, Agent Evans and Anna have a full on mothers bitch fight in the main engine room as Anna tries to send the engine into overload into the atmosphere.

Just as it seems Anna has won and is about to hit the self destruct button, Agent Evans performs one last act of self sacrifice and jumps on Anna pulling her towards the engines energy field so they both will die together.

Anna almost gains her balance before Father Jack's 'spirit' appears as a vision within the cloud of blue energy and a scared and startled Anna falls back into the swirling burning blue energy mass with Agent Evans. Anna finally realises there is something more powerful than her as Father Jack's disembodied voice is heard to say to a screaming Anna "you always said you looked forward to meeting my God, but I'm afraid he has some bad news for you......",

Anna's flesh is then stripped revealing her full Lizard image which then catches fire in bright red.

Agent evans body however bursts into a ball of bright beautiful light which rips through the entire ship, safely destroying it in the atmosphere creating a giant rainbow visible across the entire world.

Epilogue: Tyler and Lisa are seen planting an Apple Tree together a year later in memory of his dead mother on whats left of their family home and battle scarred city.

The Apple is a suggestion of the Serpent (Anna) being ejected from the garden of Eden by the unstoppable forces of human spirit/soul (father jack) and mother nature (agent evans) . Tyler and Lisa effectively becoming a suggested representation of Adam and Eve to complete the religious references of V.

The camera then pans back to show a baby girl in Lisa's arms, the camera then zooms in to a close up of the babies eyes, which quickly and barely visibly flips back to reveal reptillian eyes.

The baby has a secret... but is it good or bad......?

We will never know I guess.....

Cannot believe they have cancelled this series, I am so so so disappointed, it was one of the only things on tv, that got us all as a family watching together. Why start something and not finish it! Gutted!

Well ABC Execs., have done it again! V was/is an awsome series and like most who have commented I used to watch the original series. Why cancel because the vast American audience is bored of it, don't they get bored very easily then, the trouble is American TV has far more to view than us British and with fresh new series coming out all the time, in a way I can't blame American audiences for moving onto the next best thing.
What the TV Execs have to realise however is that the British viewers put time aside for a good programme, "V" was that programme where we would wait for a Thursday to come around and look forward to it. Now whats happened they have gone and spoilt it again!!!!
I have to agree why put us through two cracking series only to have the rug pulled from under us! The British fans deserve better, so I agree with everyone when they say SYFY should take it on and prove to the ABC execs that you could make a third series bigger and better than they could, we all say syfy " go for it " and make " V " the iconic series that it was and will be remembered in years to come!!

After being a fan of the original V I've really enjoyed this new series of V, especially what CGI has brought to it as well as good strong storylines. V really does derserve to be finished off properly, although it seems they were gearing up for a very different ending to the original "red dust" I think it was?? Long time ago!

It is really sad that V joins a growing list of top notch sci-fi series left hanging in the lurch because they have been cancelled by TV companies due to "poor" viewing figures.

Heroes is the obvious one that was not properly finished off, although it was just about time for Heroes to go, but it would have been nice to have neatly tied it all off.

Then we had Flash Forward which was superb and sadly only lasted one series, if any series deserved to be taken up again it's Flash Forward!

Then in the U.K we had Outcasts which was left hanging by the BBC. This series took time to get going but was a really interesting and thoughtful drama.

I totally agree that really outstanding TV (sci-fi in particular) is being sacrficed at the altar of dross reality shows...and that is really sad!

It's really sad the show was cancelled. I would've thought that Erica would set about a plan in order to defeat Anna. See if she could find a way to contact Lisa who would somehow find a way to get to Joshua. He would need to help Lisa escape, so she can contact the fifth column and form a plan of attack in coaliton with Erica and her new allies.

Sad to see that V has been cancelled and that everything has been left in the air literally. There were some nice touches, even bringing in Decker from the original series.
I don't hold out a lot of hope but with enough consumer pressure, it has been possible in the past to at least produce a mini series to tie up loose ends. One good example is Farscape, extraordinarily popular, it was cancelled with the two main characters apparently "crystallized". After a couple of years and a lot of browbeating, the rights were taken up by a separate company and a 2 part finale was created called The Peacekeeper Wars....So it can be done. so if not ABC how about one of the other networks?

I'm really saddened to learn that ABC have decided to scrap *V*...I've never been a fan of Si-Fi...(sorry guys ;) ) but used to love the original V and used to watch it with my kids. Then when Virgin showed the whole of series one of the new *V* on box set my husband and I watched it and were hooked !! I'd go so far as to say I actually preferred it to the original series !! We have sat through all of series 2 up to the last episode aired which was last night......bummer !! They would have had such a success if they had done a third series......for a start they could have brought Diana back to life ( they managed to bring Marcus and Joshua back from the dead) what a great story line that would have been, Diana on the side of the 5th column !
What bugs me is , if ABC knew they weren't going to run with a third series, why did they finish this series off with such a cliff hanger ? They may as well have ended it with the 5th column winning and the visitors legging it back into hyper-space !...very disappointing ending.

Am gutted why cancel the best show on tv (in my humble opinion) . Was only a kid when I watched the original series back in the 80's but loved it. Was reccommended to watch by a mate and spent a day watching season one back to back on catch up, I was hooked. Have really enjoyed season 2 and cant believe it has ended with so many questions unanswered. WE NEED SEASON 3 pleeeeeease.

No way!!! How can you do this SyFy, you must lobby or do something to get a 3rd series made its just not fair. We all pay to watch your programmes and your responsible to us to provide these programmes. How long have you known this was a dead end series??? I feel cheated out of hours of my life and wonder if this will happen again so I am reluctant to watch anything new again.

I have just found out the worst news in a long time......I LOVE V!! It's is dark and superbly written on many levels. I cannot believe ABC have axed it. The execs have taken a decision based on short term profit. The series was just getting in its stride. What moron at ABC made this decision? Is V to be replaced by some sugar sweet crap that has canned laughter and wooden characters that laugh when prodded up the a***? I really feel upset about this as V was the best thing for a long time. I would gladly petition ABC or get another network to try and pick it up. Just been on the ABC website. What a pile of crap they have for scheduling. Anyone got any good ideas how to progress this? V is amazing and Anna and co deserve better treatment. Really upset and ruined my bloody night now!!! Argh!!!!

Why was V cancelled? this seems to happen a lot with American tv series,totally unsatisfactory why bother with American tv series at all? We seem to be getting as dumb as they think we are!!.

Gutted to find out V has been cancelled. Just watched finale and only came on here to get news on season 3. It is ridiculous to cancel something that was as interesting as this was with so many unanswered questions.

I am no writer and just enjoy watching the programs but it's obvious a major battle between us and them was going to be the conclusion and just when we thought we won a little suggestion that they somehow had a hope of returning as all good shows do.

Please Syfy do something to get season 3 in the making and in the mean time I'm off to sign those petitions mentioned above.
