Vote for your favourite Joss Whedon show?

In the words of J. J. Abrams...

"Joss' storytelling is always that perfect storm of wit, deep emotion and passion for genre. His brilliant characters make familiar territory brand spanking new--and damn if he can't write a catchy song, too." [1]

  • If Firefly cameback, it would be a raging success. Fox should recognize a no-brainer, they practically invented the term.

  • thaGood to see the underdog on top for once, go Angel!

  • If you didn't pick firefly you are a loony-toon.

  • love 'em all apart from firefly.

  • Buffy & Angel were both great shows but the best... it has to be Firefly. I'm enjoying Dollhouse but how it has survived when FF got the axe I'll never know! A Browncoat.

  • Joss is a great man and writer but talk about

  • love Buffy, Dollhouse n Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog but had to vote for Buffy as I've been watching ever since I can remember!! XD

  • I voted for Buffy but it was tough as Angel was awsome too! I wish Angel had gone onto a sixth season to resolve much of the season five madness. I felt Angel was more emotional and shocking at times but Buffy is a classic and the characters were great. I am enjoying Dollhouse and think it could be fantastic as long as people stick with it and it is given a chance (like buffy) to grow.

  • Buffy and Angel would have both got my vote, but buffys the original that kicked the whole thing off, so Buffy got my only vote :D

  • I still miss Firefly.

  • i love buffy the vampire slayer

  • tough choice between Buffy and Angel - but had to be Buffy in the end as there would not have been Angel without it - plus the musical episode was genious. Was sad to see both show's finish - I cried like a baby in so many episodes i.e at the end of season 2 buffy - when Buffy has to Kill Angel to save the world, and when Buffy sacrifices herself seris 5 to save Dawn, and equally in Angel when Doyal died (Glenn Quinn RIP) and when Fred became Ilyria. Really getting into Dollhouse now and am liking it a lot so far - but I still think it will be hard to ever top Buffy & Angel - I don't think I have ever seen anything to match either show - a class act all round should go down in history as two of the best shows of all time

  • IN RECENT TIMES SCI/FI SERIALS HAVE BEEN A BIT STALE. THEN ONE DAY BY ACCIDENT, OR SHOULD I SAY GOOD FORTUNE INTO MY LIFE POPPED THIS WHITTY, WELL WRITTEN, WELL ACTED, WELL PRODUCED SERIES CALLED FIREFLY. IT SET THE STANDARD FOR BEING ALL THINGS WONDERFUL & COMPULSIVE, WHAT DECENT PROGRAMMES USED TO AQUIRE. THIS AS BEEN LACKING FOR A LONG TIME. UNFORTUNATELY ALL GOOD THINGS IN LIFE SEEM TO ALWAYS GET OVERLOOKED & BECAUSE IT DARED TO BE DIFFERENT IT REALLY MISSED THE MAINSTREAM, THIS IN TIME WILL MAKE THIS PARTICULAR SERIES A CULT. FOR ME THE STATUS CULT IS THE HIGHEST OF ACCOLADES. A TRUE GEM INDEED.

  • I love all his shows, but without a doubt it has to be Buffy. Amazing scripts and story lines tied together with pure genius casting (it's really hard to imagine that any one of the scooby gang could be better cast).

  • My first introduction to Joss was Serenity, then Firefly. Since that time I haven’t seen any Angel episodes but I have seen Buffy and although Buffy was good…..very good, I will always remain a browncoat. I just think that that show has not been matched….by anyone.

  • I love all things Whedon, but it has to be Firefly - Shiny!

  • firefly...comedic,thouught provoking, and entertainging...a scifi opera with the appeal of of sneaking a peek into the cool kids video library...this show was never the same episode twice god knows i miss it.....

  • Firefly left me bereft when it ended nothing could fill the gap

  • We have the boxed sets of all of them and watch at least one or more of Joss' weekly. As much as we love them all, Firefly is hands down our favorite. The ensemble acting, mixed genre, storyline, layered themes, will always leave us wanting more even if it had been canceled after 10 seasons. Can't get enough of Firefly.

  • You have to ask yourself, why does Joss keep making shows for Fox if they keep cancelling his shows? Firefly and Serenity were original and just damn good, Dollhouse has potential, Buffy and Angel pre-dated the Twighlight scene by several years and Dr Horrible had me rolling around on the floor with laughter.

  • BUFFY IS THE BEST

  • Funny to see so many of my favourite shows are all brain childs of Whedon :)

  • I loved them all, but had to go with Firefly. Such deep regret that the *&*&$%^ at the network staked it so soon.

  • Dr Horrible!!!!!

  • Firefly FTW

  • i love them all, but buffy HAS to be number one!

  • Firefly is just my all time favourite programme because it combined a cool wild west adventure with good old sci fi

  • Buffy is my favorite show OF ALL TIME. Dramatic, funny, suspenseful, surprising, QUOTABLE! Angel #2, Firefly #3. I'm just trying out Dollhouse.

  • I like them all--I discovered Buffy in its fourth season and that led me to Angel --but Firefly is my hands-down favorite. It was a great show that died way too early. I have high hopes for Dollhouse now that Fox has stopped actively screwing it up.

  • Oh hey! I broke the tie. Buffy still has to be my number one. I mean, it started all there. Everything comes in a close second though. But Buffy takes my vote.

  • Buffy and Angel, equally. I just love the worlds Joss created. I can't imagine him being at his best dealing in situations without the kinds of creatures you find in Buffy and Angel, but perhaps that's just down to my preference.

  • that's true

  • I adore them all for different things but...It has to be Buffy for me: it will always have a secret place in my heart and is in part responsable for who I am now.

  • Buffy will always be first. There was, is and will be nothing like it.

  • i love cordelia chase

  • Firefly. Totally. Only 14 episodes and it became my #1 favorite TV show of all time.

  • Has to be Buffy, Angel a close second. Shame they were dumped for Firefly which was inferior by far.

  • Buffy 1st and Angel a close second. I am definitely anxious to see how Dollhouse plays out, what a pleasant surprise.

  • Also, Sci Fi Channel, you should have the option of Buffy and Angel, as they're essentially the same shows and some of us love both equally!

  • Firefly.

  • As much as I adore Firefly, for me it was always Angel - it tapped into the darker places and I loved the way it showed each character`s flaws and how they were better people because and not despite of those flaws. And besides, Charisma Carpenter is a honey.

  • I'm going through Season 2 of Buffy right now and I think this is where I first see Whedon in his element. At the time I thought I was the only one who watched it on the air (hehehe... little did I know). You want me to choose who's my favorite? Let me get back to you on that...

  • I found Firefly first, and it was the only reason I started watching Buffy. Though of course, now I'm hopelessly addicted to all of them (except Dollhouse, I haven't tried it yet), but I can pretty much quote every line from Firefly. I'm still really mad at Fox. It would have been so brilliant.

  • BROWNCOAT FOREVER!!!

  • FIREFLY b/c Joss didn't have time to ruin it. And he didn't kill off favorite characters (until Serenity)

  • Buffy was the first show I got hooked on, so that will always have a place in my heart.

  • Buffy is my favorite because it was the Alpha. Angel was Buffy viewed from another angle (day, time, and eventually network.) Firefly is my Beta. I watch Dollhouse, but I'm not quite hooked yet.

  • I actually didn't see Buffy until after Firefly, but there's nothing that's been on TV in the last 50 years that's better (I know, I've watched it all). Those that don't 'get' Buffy need to watch the entire series a few times. There are subtleties and levels that some miss. That's what makes it such a great series - I've watched it 6 times now start to finish, and I still love it.

  • If Firefly cameback, it would be a raging success. Fox should recognize a no-brainer, they practically invented the term.

  • Canceling Firefly was one of the epic fails in TV history!
