  • Move

Thanks McG - Unfortunatly been away and only back today - so much for sky+ Waste of time if it doesn't change the recoding times for you! So missed 4 episodes!

  • I know where you're coming

I know where you're coming from Move.  It would have also been nice of the Sci-Fi channel to let everyone know LOTS was moving to an earlier time.  Even this site is still showing the time as 7:00pm.

  • What is Sci-fi up to?

I’ve just noticed via my Sky+ guide that LOTS has been moved from its 7:00pm slot to 2:00pm.  If I hadn’t checked I’d have missed the last episodes of season 1. The cynic in me wonders if this is a deliberate move by the channel to try and keep the viewing figures low.

  • worst addaptation ever

I am a true follower of the sword of truth novels and this has got to be THE worst adaptation of any fantasy story EVER made reasons:

    1. Richard is described in books as 6ft with blond hair and blue eyes
    2. the book of counted shadows was stolen by Richards "father" and he made Richard learn it by heart, and it was then destroyed - this is premise for Rhal chasing Richard
    3. Darken Rahl is Richards Father - another main story line ignored

the list goes on I hope it is cancelled, sealed in concrete and dropped in midde of the north sea

  • Adaptations are just that

It's an adaptation.  If the series were entitled 'The Sword of Truth' then yeah, you could poke lots of holes in it.  But Legend of the Seeker tells the story in a way that is suitable for TV viewing - if you stayed true to the very word of the books then by Chapter 29 or so of the first book the TV executives would be like, yeah we're not showing that on our station.

I think that Craig Horner portrays Richard Cypher quite well.  He's obviously read enough of the books to know the reason for Richard's anger, and anger if you remember is key to wielding the Sword of Truth.  Okay, so they didn't go into much detail about that in the show, but he does a pretty good job of playing Richard With The Temper. ;-)

I'm biased, because I did see the TV series first.  But if it wasn't for that, I would never have picked up the books, and I would have missed an epicly good read.

  • SyFy Not picking up LOTS

Just came across this. According to a Sci Fi / Fantasy blog by some guy called Mark Wilson “http://scifi.about.com/b/2010/08/16/syfy-tells-seeker-fans-again-no-and-stop-bothering-us.htm” Craig Engler, Syfy's head of digital media has announced they won’t be picking up Legend of the Seeker. Let’s hope this guy’s information is wrong.

  • DVD Region 2

Firstly I hope it doesn't get canceled. It is a great show and deserves another season. But that has been the way of too many good shows. Anyway Does anyone know when if at all LOS season one is coming to DVD region 2 (UK).

    Cheers

  • Season 3

I’ve only recently discovered this series and I’m completely hooked by it. However I’m now hearing rumours that the show’s been cancelled, someone please tell me this is not so. Also anyone know if season 1 is out yet on DVD in the UK?

  • cool

Though if he writes an eleventh book, I think Mr Goodkind is milking it a tad.

  • Really hoping someone picks

Really hoping someone picks this up for Season 3.  This is a great show.  The new book coming out only adds to the extensive story line.

  • Legend of the Seeker is one

Legend of the Seeker is one of the only shows I watch I think it is amazing If they don't do a season 3 I will be very upset. The only reason its not very popular is because not many people know about it but when I have told my friends to watch it they all ended up loving it.

  • We still have a chance.

We can still help in saving this show.  They're looking to see if ratings increase with all the reruns.  we'll have to give it to them.  Tell everyone you possibly can to watch the show and when they are not watching TV to turn the channel to whatever channel has the show.  if you tell everyone you can to tell everyone they can and they tell everyone they can and so on to turn to that channel whenever theyre not watching TV, the show's ratings will skyrocket if they do it.  If we all participate in this, we have a chance at saving the show.  so go tell everyone you can!!!!  We still have a chance!

Repost this every other save the seeker website you can and spread the word!

  • Season 3

The writer tweeted that don't worry there is going to be a season 3 do you know when it will start?
