Stephen Hawking tells the human race to leave earth or die
![]()
Stephen Hawking may be one of the world's biggest brains, but he sure has been a downer lately. First he tells us that, yes, aliens DO exist, but they want to kill us. And now he wants us to know that if we don't abandon Earth—we're doomed!
Here's some of what he had to say Friday:
"Our only chance of long term survival is not to remain inward looking on planet Earth, but to spread out into space. We have made remarkable progress in the last hundred years. But if we want to continue beyond the next hundred years, our future is in space.
"It will be difficult enough to avoid disaster on planet Earth in the next hundred years, let alone the next thousand, or million. The human race shouldn't have all its eggs in one basket, or on one planet. Let's hope we can avoid dropping the basket until we have spread the load. ...
"If we are the only intelligent beings in the galaxy, we should make sure we survive and continue. But we are entering an increasingly dangerous period of our history. Our population and our use of the finite resources of planet Earth, are growing exponentially, along with our technical ability to change the environment for good or ill. But our genetic code still carries the selfish and aggressive instincts that were of survival advantage in the past. It will be difficult enough to avoid disaster in the next hundred years, let alone the next thousand or million. That is why I'm in favor of manned, or should I say 'personed,' space flight."
What do you think? Do you agree we need to get off Earth ... or die?

God is not something needed to explain the world, says Stephen Hawking. Hawking has his own opinion on God which is shown in his book “The Grand Design” which was authored also by Leonard Mlodinow, Caltech physicist. He thinks that The Lord is just something for humans that they need. There have been controversies between science and religion. The Grand Design talks about some of these. Hawking believes that gravity is what made it so the universe might be created. He believes no The Lord might be a part of this. People who disagree with Hawking say science, being limited by laws of nature such as gravity, is an inadequate approach to comprehend the role of God in the galaxy.
if it takes a genius to tell the population of the Earth that we need to leave and find other places to live then theres something wrong with the world.
science fiction writers have been saying this for years does that make them prophets ? , guess s. hawking may have just read a good book.
if i could get off this rock and live somewhere else i would be on that rocket tomorrow.
the future will be the sun will kill us all, something will crash into the earth or a virus will try and kill us all either way its just sods law.
3 seats on the next flight of this planet required, not because mr hawking says so........

Thinking of what he has to say, I do see it as a possibility that the world may come into a huge advent or even the end of this rock we call earth, with this year (2012) the myan Callander ends may be the end of the world or some major life (world) changing event worrieing as it is we defo should be gettin ower selfs into the million of miles into this darkness called space. I don't think we are alone there's to many solar systems galaxy's to just say no , I hope we do make contact and ever expand ower knologe and to spread humanity into space.
