Shia LeBeouf says Harrison Ford and George Lucas are getting ready for Indy 5

Although the world wasn't exactly thrilled with 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, a fifth instalment in the series might happen sooner rather than later.

Shia LaBeouf, who played Indy's son in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, told MTV News that he spoke recently with star Harrison Ford, revealing, "(Harrison) said he's staying in the gym, he said he's heard no word, but he does know that (George Lucas) is out there looking for a MacGuffin. He said he's staying in the gym, so it means (the movie is) not so far off."

Well, that's what LaBeouf seems to think, anyway, although he acknowledged that Lucas may take a long time to figure out what he wants a fifth Indy adventure to be about. "I mean, he's got to let it sit," admitted LaBeouf, who's starring in Transformers: Dark of the Moon this summer. "He's going through his ruminations, which is extensive."

But if Ford himself is "staying in the gym," that sounds like he's ready to don the fedora and bullwhip again, which he confirmed himself last year: "It's on George's plate, and I'm hoping he's working hard at it, because I'd look forward to doing it again if the three of us could get together—George, (director) Steven Spielberg, myself—I'd love to do another."

Should Indy 5 become a reality, if only to wash away the bad taste of Indy 4? Or should Lucas, Ford and Spielberg let sleeping archaeologists lie? If they do another one, what do you think the "MacGuffin" should be?

I liked this film :) Thought Shia Lebeouf was awesome, and if he takes over as lead actor after Harrison Ford can't do it anymore, i think it will produce some brilliant films xxx

I really don't undestand why this film was slated. I thought it was excellent and it was nice to escape the usual religious themes of these movies. Some people may think that interdimensional beings with Crystal skulls may be a little far fetched but I find them no more unbelievable than an ancient Knight of the Round Table protecting a sacred chalice that Jesus was meant to have sipped from.

In my opinion and I realise it may be my opinion alone The Kingdom of The Crystal Skulls was a far superior film to The Temple of Doom and I would look forward to any further installment of the Indie Chronicles. Let's see what Lucas does next.
