JOHN BOYEGA OPENS UP ABOUT WORKING WITH ROYALS
Star Wars: The Last Jedi actor John Boyega (Finn) recently let the porg out of the bag when he confirmed the long-rumored cameos by Prince William and Prince Harry in the new film, and now he's opening up about the experience.

In a new actor roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter, Boyega was asked if it was intimidating filming with the royals (and Tom Hardy as well), but he says, "It wasn't intimidating, it was fun for me. It's Star Wars, they're gonna bring in the royal family. It felt fine."
As for who the royals are playing, roundtable participant Tom Hanks asked Boyega if the princes were in stormtrooper costumes. Boyega replied, "Yeah, they were wrapped in stormtrooper costumes. So that was just for me, the best of both worlds for me."
If there's a place for those famous faces to cameo, it makes sense that they would join the esteemed ranks of Daniel Craig, who played a memorable trooper (... and I'll drop my weapon ...) in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Boyega was much more tight-lipped about working with the royal family during a recent visit to The Tonight Show, so perhaps he got to talking due to the ever-trustworthy persona of Tom Hanks. After he asked Boyega about the princes, Hanks also asked him whether he found it hard not to make some variation on classic "pew pew pew" noises when he was firing blasters. Boyega was perfectly candid about it, saying, "I'm doing it all the time."
The wonder of actually being in a Star Wars film is certainly not lost on Boyega, who went on to say, "You're a child. There's a new planet every day, and a new scene to play. It just makes you feel you're a part of history in a sense."
History indeed, and not just the history of Star Wars -- the British monarchy is involved now. Though it doesn't intimidate him, Boyega does admit to the weirdness of it all. As he says, "... it's strange on a day-to-day basis."
