Presented by: James Comtois
Well, Doctor Who fans, you've been patient. But the wait has finally ended. The Woman has fallen to Earth. Now that the season premiere of Doctor Who has finally aired, Twitter has gone suitably nuts.
Considering this was the first episode of the series to star Jodi Whittaker as the new Doctor, and the first woman to take on the role in the show's decades-long history, it's not surprising that fans have immediately taken to the social media site to offer their robust opinions.
Check out just some of the responses to "The Woman Who Fell to Earth," which kicked off the 11th season of Doctor Who. But make sure you've seen the episode before diving in, because, as River Song would tease, spoilers...
The feedback, much like the general consensus of the reviews, is largely positive. In some cases, it's inspiring to see how much Whittaker's iteration of The Doctor has managed to resonate with audiences who wouldn't have typically watched the series.

However, barring a tear-inducing tragedy in the climax, the episode's teeth-complexioned villain and energy-seeking vegetation took some lampooning.

Ultimately, the moments in which the Doctor found herself served as a source of pure adrenaline... with a little dash of Sheffield steel.
