Rebellion brews now that the people of Mongo know that it was Ming (John Ralston) and not the Deviates who poisoned their water. Flash entreats the Celetroph Dolan (Nicolas W. Von Zill) to help him unite the cantons against Ming, but the Dolan insists that first, Flash must pass one final test.  Flash awakens in the desolate snowfields of Frigia where he meets Brini (Holly Dignard), a Triton hunter and both are arrested by a Frigian patrol for ice poaching. Count Malo (Daniel Probert), the regent who reigns in her place, reveals that Queen Fria (Kendall Cross) has been trapped for many cycles in the Cave of the Ice Worm and Flash realizes that freeing the Queen is the test he must pass
