Arrival
After stealing a crystal from Lex, Clark brought it together with two others and disappeared into a vortex that brought him to the arctic tundra, the location of Clark's Fortress of Solitude. Now, Clark is confronted by his biological father, Jor-El (voiced by TERENCE STAMP), who tells him he cannot return to Smallville.

Jor-El (voiced by TERENCE STAMP) strips Clark of his powers, making him human. Delighted to finally be "normal," Clark pursues a relationship with Lana. However, after Lana, Jonathan and Martha are taken hostage by three thugs, Clark must find a way to save his family without his superpowers.

Hidden
Chloe is warned by former classmate Gabriel (JOHNNY LEWIS) that he is going to set off a missile and obliterate all of Smallville. Still stripped of his superpowers, Clark confronts Gabriel and is shot. In the hospital, Clark flatlines, and his fate is left in Jor-El's (voiced by TERENCE STAMP) hands. Meanwhile, Lex believes Lionel has the key to open Clark's spaceship.

Thirst
Lana enrolls at Metropolis University at the last minute and is forced to join a sorority in order to get housing at such a late date. However, her new sorority sisters offer her more than a place to live after they turn her into a vampire and instruct her to kill Clark. Meanwhile, Chloe applies for an internship at The Daily Planet, but the newspaper's formidable editor, Pauline Kahn (CARRIE FISHER - "Star Wars"), may be more then she can handle.

Clark and Jonathan are thrilled when Jake Jennings (TOM WOPAT - John Schneider's fellow star in the series "The Dukes of Hazzard"), Jonathan's oldest friend, comes to the Kent farm looking for their support in his campaign for reelection to the Senate. However, after a woman named Melissa (SARAH MUTCH) turns up dead, it is revealed that she was a stripper and Jennings' mistress, which makes Jennings the prime suspect. After Martha contracts a strange disease and is given hours to live, Clark asks Professor Fine (recurring guest star JAMES MARSTERS) for help. The professor convinces Clark that Jor-El is responsible for Martha's illness and that the only way to save her is to destroy the Fortress of Solitude. However, once the two arrive at the Fortress, Professor Fine tries to free Zod and kill Clark.

Splinter
Clark is exposed to silver kryptonite, causing him to have paranoid delusions. The element makes him believe that Chloe is going to reveal his secret; Jonathan is scheming against him with Lionel; and Lex and Lana are having a secret relationship. Chloe and the Kents frantically search for a cure; however, it is Professor Fine (recurring guest star JAMES MARSTERS) who comes to Clark's rescue--but not without his own agenda.

Lexmas
Lex is given an envelope with damaging information that could destroy Jonathan's life and must decide whether or not he will use it, as it would also bring harm to Clark and Martha. Before he can choose what to do, Lex is shot and falls into a coma. He dreams that his mother, Lillian (recurring guest star ALISEN DOWN), visits him and shows him the life he could lead if he walks away from his father and LuthorCorp. In this alternate life, Lex is happily married to Lana with a baby on the way. Meanwhile, Chloe asks Clark to use his powers to deliver Christmas presents to needy kids.

Fanatic
Jonathan receives threats on his life from a mysterious source who urges him to drop out of the senate race. Later, Clark finds his dad bloody and beaten and is determined to find Jonathan's attacker. Clark discovers that a group of Lex's followers will do anything to see that Lex wins the election. Lois' (recurring guest star ERICA DURANCE) life is threatened, only to be spared if she assassinates Jonathan during his speech. Lionel offers to give Martha money to help Jonathan's campaign. Lana is convinced that the answers she is looking for lie in researching the first meteor shower.

Lockdown
The two police officers who witnessed the spaceship landing during the meteor shower take Lex and Lana hostage and threaten to kill them unless Lex reveals where he hid the spaceship. While escaping to a "panic room" in the mansion, Lex is hit by a bullet meant for Lana. Fearing Lex may bleed to death, Lana asks him to tell the officers the secret location, but he confesses the ship has been missing for weeks. Meanwhile, Clark discovers that Lana has been researching the spaceship with Lex and fears she is close to discovering his secret.

Reckoning
In the landmark 100th episode of the series, Clark reveals his secret to Lana. Jonathan and Lex learn the results of the senatorial election. And after a tragic car accident on the highway takes the life of someone he loves, Clark desperately returns to the Fortress of Solitude and begs Jor-El (voiced by TERENCE STAMP) for help.

The spirit of a young girl is released after Lois (recurring guest star ERICA DURANCE) finds a corpse in the walls of the Talon. Clark and Lois must follow the trail of the spirit and find her killer, who has been preying on girls in Smallville for the past 10 years. When Lois is suddenly kidnapped, Clark comes to the rescue.

A sympathetic doctor releases a half-human, half-machine subject named Victor (LEE THOMPSON YOUNG), who was being held captive and experimented on by LuthorCorp. While making his escape, Victor is struck by Lana's car. After watching Victor walk away without a scratch, Lana calls Clark to investigate. Clark befriends Victor and promises to help him find his girlfriend, but Lex traps Victor and takes him back to LuthorCorp.

Upon discovering that Professor Fine (recurring guest star JAMES MARSTERS) is in Honduras, Lex sets out to confront him. Meanwhile, Clark meets a beautiful seductress named Simone (NICHOLE HILTZ) who uses a magical charm to make people succumb to her every wish. When the hypnotized Clark reveals his powers to Simone, she seizes the opportunity and orders Clark to kill Lex.

Void
Still distraught over her breakup with Clark, Lana experiments with a dangerous serum that allows her to flatline and see her deceased parents again. A worried Clark rushes to save Lana from hurting herself but ends up being injected with the kryptonite-laced serum by an arrogant medical student. When Clark flatlines, he is able to talk to his dead father, who warns him that Lionel knows his secret. Meanwhile, Lionel continues to get closer to Martha.

Clark and Martha take in a little girl, Maddie (EMILY HERST), after her foster mother is brutally stabbed to death. However, after it is discovered that Maddie has the power to shatter glass, she becomes the prime suspect. Meanwhile, Chloe walks in on Lex and Lana during an intimate moment. Series star TOM WELLING makes his directorial debut.

A hooded tormentor takes Lionel hostage and orchestrates a series of elaborate games that Lionel must win in order to stay alive. After Clark tells Martha that Lionel knows his secret, she sets out to confront him--but she inadvertently becomes a pawn in the tormentor's game and ends up fighting for her life.

Clark is stunned to see his father's ghost at the graveyard but becomes even more confused when Jonathan tells him to kill Lionel. Meanwhile, after Lex develops a vaccine for Fine's (recurring guest star JAMES MARSTERS) deadly virus, Fine intervenes and injects Lex with the vaccine, causing a shocking reaction.

While in Metropolis, Clark saves the life of a stranger who vows to repay him for his kindness. Unfortunately, the man happens to be an assassin with the ability to cloak himself, and he decides that killing Lex would be the best gift he could give Clark. Meanwhile, Clark confronts Lana about her relationship with Lex.

Fine (recurring guest star JAMES MARSTERS) unleashes a virus that could kill millions of people and refuses to give Clark the vaccine unless he agrees to release the spirit of an imprisoned Kryptonian criminal. Clark turns to Lionel, who once again channels Jor-El (voiced by TERENCE STAMP). Meanwhile, Lex is stunned by his newfound powers and shares the discovery with Lana, who decides to stand by her new man, unaware of the shocking turn Lex's life is about to take.

Erica Durance
Erica Durance joined the Superman legacy by portraying the iconic Lois Lane in "Smallville." In the role of the future Daily Planet reporter, Durance plays Lois as a street-smart, tough young woman who bonds with the Kent family, to Clark's (Tom Welling) occasional dismay.
Durance grew up in Three Hills, Alberta. A dual citizen of Canada and the U.S., she has guest starred in the television series "Stargate SG-1," "The Chris Isaak Show," "Andromeda" and "Tru Calling." She also starred in the 2004 pilot "Gramercy Park" and guest starred in the fantasy series "The Collector."
Durance recently completed production on the feature film "The Butterfly Effect 2," playing Julie, the central female character. In addition, Durance starred in the cable thriller "Stranded."

Jason Teague
Jensen Ackeles
Recently listed as one of E! Online's "Sizzlin' 16 of 2004" and YM's "Hottest Guys of 2003," Jensen Ackles is a young actor on the rise.
Ackles makes his big-screen debut in the upcoming feature film "Devour," opposite Dominique Swain and Shannyn Sossamon. The film was directed by David Winkler.
Ackles was seen on "Dawson's Creek" in a recurring role and as a series regular on "Dark Angel." His additional work in television includes appearing in the miniseries "Blonde," opposite Poppy Montgomery and Patrick Dempsey.
In 1997, Ackles began his acting career with much critical acclaim when he joined the cast of "Days of Our Lives." In addition to three Daytime Emmy Award nominations (1998, 1999 and 2000), he won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer in 1998.
Ackles was born in Dallas and raised in Richardson, Texas. He now resides in Los Angeles.

Clark Kent
Tom Welling
Tom Welling, familiar to television audiences from a recurring role on "Judging Amy," makes his series-starring debut in "Smallville" as a teenage Clark Kent struggling to come to grips with his emerging superpowers.
Born and raised in New York, Welling is fairly new to the acting world. He performed in a few high school theatre productions before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career.
His first big break was landing six episodes on "Judging Amy" last season, playing opposite Amy Brenneman in a romantic role that drew raves. He landed the role of Clark after the producers conducted a nationwide search.
When not working, Welling enjoys reading, playing basketball with friends and running.

Lex Luthor
Michael Rosenbaum
Self-assured and possessed of a rapid-fire wit, Michael Rosenbaum shaved his thick hair for the role he seems born to play: a young Lex Luthor in "Smallville." Born in Oceanside, New York, and raised in Newburgh, Indiana, Rosenbaum excelled in high school drama classes. Once hooked, he took on lead roles in college stage productions such as "The Heidi Chronicles" while attending Western Kentucky University and performing in regional theatre during his summers.
Upon graduating with a degree in mass communications and theatre, he packed his bags and headed for New York to pursue acting. He quickly landed roles in off-Broadway productions and small independent films, and he soon segued into regular appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" in a sketch called "The Amsterdam Kids."
His first real break came when he got a regular role on The WB's comedy series "The Tom Show," with Tom Arnold. The relationship with the network continued as he was cast as Jack in the New York comedy "Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane."
Most recently, Rosenbaum appeared on the big screen in "Sweet November," which starred Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron. Rosenbaum can be seen starring in the college comedy "Sorority Boys," opposite Harland Williams and Barry Watson (The WB's "7th Heaven"), and he plays the lead role in the independent drama "Poolhall Junkies," with Christopher Walken, Rick Schroder and Chazz Palminteri. Rosenbaum also starred in the hit thriller "Urban Legend" and appeared in "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Kevin Spacey and John Cusack.
Rosenbaum currently resides in Los Angeles. When not working, he belongs to an ice hockey league. He has played the sport since childhood and is a dedicated New York Rangers fan.

Lana Lang
Kristin Kreuk
A fresh face to American television viewers, Kristin Kreuk was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She began acting in plays in high school but mostly focused on her schoolwork rather than the stage. Fate came calling at the beginning of her senior year, when a casting director looking for new talent for the television series "Edgemont" tapped Kreuk for a starring role. It was her first professional audition.
Since then, she has starred on the series for two seasons and has continued her role while filming "Smallville" in her hometown of Vancouver. She will also be seen this spring starring in the title role of the television movie "Snow White," opposite Miranda Richardson.
Kreuk currently lives with her family in Vancouver and, when not working, enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

Lionel Luthor
John Glover
Tony Award winner and five-time Emmy Award nominee John Glover was born in Salisbury, Maryland. Glover worked off Broadway for 10 years before Jane Fonda's notorious slap in "Julia" caused audiences to sit up and take notice of this talented newcomer. Deciding to take the next step in Hollywood, Glover moved to Los Angeles, where he landed the role of Victor DiMato in the television movie "An Early Frost," playing a brave AIDS patient. His performance earned him his first Emmy nomination.
Glover was soon cast as a series of notable villains, such as the pornographer/blackmailer in "52 Pick-Up," the mad scientist Dr. Jason Woodrue in "Batman & Robin," a manic television executive in "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" and a drunken murderer in "Masquerade." His impressive résumé also includes such box office hits as "Payback," with Mel Gibson; Woody Allen's "Annie Hall"; "Robocop 2"; "Love! Valour! Compassion!"; and the 2002 film "Mid-Century," in which he portrayed Bill Gates opposite Faye Dunaway.
Glover has lit up the small screen as well, with Emmy-nominated turns in the series "Frasier," "L.A. Law" and "Crime & Punishment." Taking his villainous streak to the extreme, Glover portrayed Satan in "Brimstone." Other television credits include the telefilms "The Tempest," "Dead by Midnight," "Assault at West Point: The Court-Martial of Johnson Whittaker," "An Enemy of the People," "A Season of Giants" and "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" Glover received another Emmy nod for his role in the miniseries "Nutcracker: Money, Madness & Murder" and a CableACE Award nomination for his work in "Traveling Man."

Chloe Sullivan
Allison Mack
Allison Mack has already amassed numerous credits, spanning lighthearted comedies to serious dramatic roles. She was born in Germany but moved with her family to Southern California at the age of 2, beginning her acting career at age 4 with print work and commercials. At 7, she began studying at The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles, where she currently attends classes in improvisation and scene study.
Mack got the chance to display her comedic flair as a series regular on "Hiller and Diller," working alongside comedy greats Richard Lewis, Kevin Nealon and Eugene Levy, and she also starred in the comedy "Opposite Sex." Previously, Mack guest starred in a highly rated and critically praised episode of The WB's family drama "7th Heaven," portraying a teen caught up in the devastating trend of "cutting" (self-mutilation). She can also be seen on Kids' WB! in two episodes of the R.L. Stine series "The Nightmare Room."
Additionally, Mack has starred in many prestigious movies for television, including the recent cable film "My Horrible Year," directed by Eric Stoltz and starring Karen Allen, Mimi Rogers and Stoltz. She appeared in "A Private Matter," with Sissy Spacek and Aidan Quinn; "Living a Lie," with Peter Coyote and Jill Eichenberry; "Unlikely Angel," with Dolly Parton and Roddy McDowall; "Stolen Memories: Secrets from the Rose Garden," starring Mary Tyler Moore and Linda Lavin; and "A Mother's Revenge."
On the big screen, Mack appeared in "Camp Nowhere" and starred in the video release "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves."
An accomplished dancer and singer, Mack enjoys reading, going to movies and plays and spending time with her friends and family.

Pete Ross
Sam Jones III
Having been in Hollywood only two years, Sam Jones III is already making quite a name for himself. He recently completed leading roles in two feature films, "Zigzag" and "Snipes," as well as guest starring in several television series. His role as Pete marks his series-starring debut.
Growing up in Boston, Massachusetts, Jones acted in local commercials. After spending a summer vacation with a friend living in Los Angeles, he caught the showbiz bug and decided to pursue a career in acting. Soon after he graduated from high school, Jones moved to Hollywood to follow his dream.
His first job was a memorable guest-starring role on "NYPD Blue," in which he portrayed a troubled teen who stole a gun and hid it in his daughter's crib. From there, Jones' career began to grow. His credits include an emotionally charged recurring role on "C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation," in which he played a teen who accidentally kills a girl and then watches as his grandfather attempts to take the blame. He also guest starred on "Judging Amy," as a sexually abused teen who gets mixed up in a drive-by shooting. Jones appears in two episodes of the R.L. Stine series "The Nightmare Room," on Kids' WB!.
On the big screen, Jones is poised to make an auspicious debut. In the gritty independent drama "Zigzag," he plays the autistic 15-year-old title character, opposite Wesley Snipes as his crack-addicted father. The film also stars Oliver Platt, Natasha Lyonne and John Leguizamo as his terminally ill mentor. Jones also stars in the upcoming independent crime drama "Snipes," playing opposite rapper Nelly and Dean Winters ("Oz").
When he is not working, Jones spends his time on the basketball court. He relocated from Los Angeles to Vancouver for the filming of "Smallville."

Jonathan Kent
John Schneider
John Schneider is a multitalented performer with credits spanning television, film, music and the stage. Best known for his role as Bo Duke on the popular television series "The Dukes of Hazzard," Schneider stars in "Smallville" as Jonathan Kent, father to the teenage Clark Kent.
Schneider starred for six seasons as one of the fast-driving, fun-loving cousins of the Duke clan on the hugely popular '80s comedy-adventure series "The Dukes of Hazzard." He recently reprised his beloved role in the television movie "The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood." Schneider was also a series regular on the family drama "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" and the syndicated drama "Heaven Help Us."
Schneider has starred in numerous original television movies, including "Michael Landon, the Father I Knew," "True Women," "Night of the Twisters," "The Legend of Ruby Silver," "Texas" and "Desperate Journey." He also lends his voice to a lead character in Kids' WB!'s animated series "The Mummy."

Martha Kent
Annette O'Toole
Annette O'Toole played Lana Lang, the girl Clark Kent left behind in his youth, in the big-screen feature "Superman III." Now, she takes her new place in the Superman saga playing Clark Kent's mother, Martha, in the new action-adventure series "Smallville."
Born in Houston, Texas, O'Toole started dancing at the early age of 3. At 13, she moved with her family to Los Angeles, and she began taking acting lessons. Her first big break came when she starred in the 1975 feature film "Smile," as a conniving beauty pageant contestant. Since then, O'Toole has appeared on the big screen in "48 Hrs.," playing the girlfriend of Nick Nolte's character; the 1982 remake of "Cat People," directed by Paul Schrader; "Here on Earth," with Chris Klein and Leelee Sobieski; "One on One"; "King of the Gypsies"; "Cross My Heart"; and "Love at Large."
Most recently, O'Toole starred on the cable television series "The Huntress," and she has also been a series regular on "Nash Bridges." She has guest starred on many series, including "Law & Order," "Boy Meets World" and "Frasier."
O'Toole was nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for her portrayal of Rose Kennedy in the television miniseries "The Kennedys of Massachusetts." Her numerous television movie credits include "The War Between the Tates," as a student involved with her professor; "Stand By Your Man," in which she showcased her singing voice playing country music legend Tammy Wynette; "Love for Rent"; "A Girl of the Limberlost"; "The Entertainer"; Stephen King's "It"; and Danielle Steel's "Jewels."
Dividing her time between stage and screen, O'Toole has performed in theatre productions around the country, including a run in Los Angeles in "Vanities" and performances of "Yankee Wives" and "Sun Bearing Down" at The Globe Theater.
Currently living in Los Angeles, O'Toole is married to actor Michael McKean ("Best in Show").
