Season 2 promises to give us more gore, laughs and totally epic challenges for Todd and his group of reluctant heroes.
Some particular highlights include Todd and the gang in another amazing musical episode (do you remember how good the first one was!?), Todd’s mission to lose his virginity, disappearing cheerleaders and the gang’s quest to slay The Red Knight in their very own video game.
As ever, Todd (Alex House) is at the centre of the action, leading his group in their battle with the book. Only a short while ago, his main role in life was lying in bed, getting stoned and lusting after Jenny Kolinsky (Maggie Castle). Then the book entered his life, and he found himself tasked with saving the world over and over again.
Helping him out are one-armed best pal Curtis Weaver (Bill Turbull) and delightfully geeky but gung-ho Hannah B Williams (Melanie Leishmann). The terrific cast is rounded off by Jason Mewes of Dogma fame, who provides some questionable wisdom as Jimmy the janitor.
But stealing the show time and again is school guidance counsellor Atticus (Chris Leavins), who has a link to the dark, satanic and accidentally hilarious cadre of Satan-worshippers at the heart of all the evil action.
