He also received rave reviews for his portrayal of Bobby Jones for Robert Redford's The Legend of Bagger Vance, starring Matt Damon, Will Smith and Charlize Theron. Born in 1989 to a solid Midwestern couple, Huffman, a triplet, was instilled with a strong work ethic at an early age. At 16, he restored his first car -- a '56 Mercury -- which he then sold to pay for acting lessons.

Huffman entered the Gately/Poole Acting Intensive hosted at Northern Illinois University to study with master Meisner technique teacher Kathryn Gately. Excelling quickly, he moved to New York at age 17 to start pursuing his dreams.

A few months later, Huffman got a small part in Lymelife, the critically acclaimed indie film starring Emma Roberts, Alec Baldwin and Timothy Hutton. Soon after, Huffman won a lead role in Rosie O'Donnell's telefilm America. Huffman, a firm believer in UFOs, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. His birthday is December 22.

  • Ryan Nichols

    Morris Chestnut

Morris Chestnut stars in V as Ryan Nichols, who knows from firsthand experience just what the V's are capable of.

A captivating and charismatic performer, Chestnut first claimed attention as Ricky in the critically acclaimed Boyz in the Hood, in which he portrayed a high school football player using his running back skills to try and escape his rough South Central Los Angeles neighborhood. This standout role was followed by the challenging lead in The Ernest Green Story, playing one of the Arkansas Nine high school students in this television drama about civil rights.

These pivotal roles led Chestnut to appearances in such feature films as Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, G. I. Jane and Half Past Dead. He went on to star in numerous romantic comedies, including The Brothers, Two Can Play That Game, Breakin' All the Rules and The Best Man, for which he received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture. He was also seen in Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid and the highly regarded Ladder 49 for director Jay Russell.

A Los Angeles native, Chestnut spent time in the banking industry following high school, including stints as a teller. It was during junior college in Long Beach, California, that he saw a friend in a play, which sparked his interest in the performing arts. The following semester, Chestnut took courses in acting and began to earnestly pursue the profession.

Chestnut studied at the Marla Gibbs Acting School in Hollywood, landed an agent and began auditioning for such television shows as A Different World and Freddie's Nightmares, as well as for independent films. Following his seminal role in Boyz in the Hood, Chestnut landed a role in the comedy series Out All Night, starring Patti LaBelle, and appeared in commercials for such high-profile companies as McDonalds and Champs Sporting Goods.

Chestnut was recently seen in the number--one box office comedy The Game Plan, opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and starred in the romantic comedy The Perfect Holiday, opposite Queen Latifah and Gabrielle Union. He also starred in Not Easily Broken, opposite Taraji P. Henson, and served as producer. His birthday is January 1.

  • Lisa

    Laura Vandervoort

Laura Vandervoort stars in V as Lisa, an alluring V who begins a relationship with Tyler (Logan Huffman). Lisa is also the daughter of Anna (Morena Baccarin), the V's leader, which leads certain allegiances to be questioned.

Vandervoort most recently starred in Smallville as Clark Kent's cousin, Kara -- also known as Supergirl. As Supergirl, Vandervoort could show off both her incredible acting and martial arts skills. She can also be seen in Into the Blue 2: The Reef, the sequel to the successful feature Into the Blue. Vandervoort can next be seen in the upcoming features This Means War, alongside Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine, and The Entitled, with Ray Liotta and Kevin Zegers.

In 2006, Vandervoort shot her first feature film, The Lookout, opposite Jeff Daniels, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mathew Goode and Isla Fisher. She got her big break at age 19 when she landed the lead role of Sadie Harrison on the CTV series Instant Star, which ran for four seasons and was extremely popular in Canada. Vandervoort has also appeared in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Dresden Files, Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire, Alley Cats Strike, Mutant X, Prom Queen and Twice in a Lifetime.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Vandervoort began acting at the age of 13. She had always been an entertainer, putting on shows for family and friends, but it was the film My Girl, given to her by her aunt, that triggered her interest in the arts; after watching it, she realized that acting was her passion.

Vandervoort loves most sports, especially soccer, karate, basketball, tennis, gymnastics and baseball. Beginning karate at age 7, she was a second-degree black belt by age 16. She currently divides her time between Los Angeles and her native Canada. Her birthday is September 22.

  • When will series 3 be screened. We have to see the conclusion to this brilliant series.

  • Опытные грузчики Донецк, лучшие цены здесь

  • please please please run with series 3 of v whoevertakes this project on!!!

  • There is a an official facebook group with a campaign going to get V a third season with a different network,

    http://www.facebook.com/ProjectAliceV

I urge everyone to join as even the shows producer Scott Rosenbaum has endorsed them as the no.1 group :-)

around 10,000 members and growing fast

  • Come on you got to make a season 3 and finish the Vs off you cant leave it how season 2 finished, have loved watching it remember watching the original as a kid was gutted how season 2 ended, wheres hobbs gone what happens to chad and erica has got to be the one to finish off anna after what she has done to her family i really hope at some point they do a third season fingers crossed..

  • I have heard rumblings, only rumblings mind, that Syfy UK's big brother Syfy US was already sniffing around buying season 3 at the turn of the year on the suspicion ABC might drop it.

All we can do is beg Syfy to push the boat out, wine and dine the accountants and bank managers and I for one will tell everyone I know to tune into Syfy for season 3 having now been shocked into realising just how important it is for us viewers to show serious commitment to shows like this or risk losing them.

5 million viewers in the US alone would be the golden ticket for Syfy and here in the UK it would be the perfect flagship (no pun intended) show to push Syfy's market presence into the wider public domain.

Sharktapus and goblin shark movies are all thoroughly fun and enjoyable but V has the ability to send Syfy into serious market territory if all us fans back it and commit to supporting them if they take this brave gamble.

I for one am up for it and judging by the thousands joining campaign groups on the internet I'm crossing my fingers someone somewhere will take the show!!

To me it's like when Ford sold the Landrover brand as it was worthless to them, but someone else bought it and Landrover remains a global player in its niche market....

  • I am absolutely gutted that ABC in the US has cancelled V and will not be renewing the show for a 3rd series, it seems 5m viewers in the US, winning a range of awards for the show, and its global success and loyal fan base just isn't enough to save a show any more...

... V has been a huge success for the Syfy Channel in the UK, rating #1 for both series and getting very respectable ratings. And has been a VERY popular show globally with series 2 storylines being the best so far, the fact the show has been left on a cliffhanger like this is a slap in the face to every1 who has devoted their time to watch the show - its ignited peoples imaginations, and finally given us a scifi show that has been lacking in recent years!

Its my hope that the Syfy Channel in the US take on the show and renew it for a 3rd series. The way series 2 ended and where the story was headed its has left it wide open to take a new direction - it paved the way for the beginning of the real resistance, and the survival of the human race - showing humans fighting side by side with Vs who just want to live in peace, working as one against Anna and kicking her butt big style...

,,, But OH NO, it gets cancelled and we are all left wondering - the potential of series 3 was HUGE and even the writers were excited to where it was headed. So I again URGE SYFY to take on the show and get series 3 on TV ASAP before its too late!!

  • There is a facebook group with a campaign going to try to get TNT to take on V for a third season

    http://www.facebook.com/ProjectAliceV?sk=wall#!/ProjectAliceV?sk=info

  • How do I watch the new series - I've only just seen that it came back on and missed most the second series :'(

  • As I was around when the first V was on back in the 80s which I loved, being a sci fi nut, I was very wary about the remake, but now after seeing session 1 and almost session 2 I don't know why I worried the show is great, and having Diana who is Anna's mother from the original series for me was the icing on the cake, what an iconic figure to include in the show. may the show run and run, Anna what a villain may your evil get worse and worse

love the show crdit to sci fi for bringing it to the uk

    keep up the good work

  • my mother is realy into this show and she made me watch a few off the new season and i enjoyed them but had no clue what was happening dose anyone no how i can watch season one now.

  • my mother is realy into this show and she made me watch a few off the new season and i enjoyed them but had no clue what was happening dose anyone no how i can watch season one now.

  • Can someone tell me how many episodes have been made for V-season 2 ??????
and weather there planning to do V season 3 ??

  • Ican't believe syfy have deleted scenes from season 2! Such as when anna's tail goes through a visitors body revealing the lizard skin underneath in episode one. Also, episode 2 where anna swallows a mouse. I hope these deleted scenes will not be there when it is released on dvd!!

  • I`m disappointed as I cant get V on my Digital box as its old and I was hoping I culd watch it on SYFY.co.uk like the Iplayers we have for bbc1 granade channel 4 and the other channels that allow u to watch at your own leisure. but I cant I watch v esp 2 part 1 last wk on here but I cant get last nites progamme.. can help help damsel pls...

  • Could not believe my eyes when original "baddy" Diana (Jane badler) turned up at the end of the opening episode of "V" season two..
    what wonders await..?
Season one was pretty lame (not much action) just loads of talking/planning/ect,
so lets hope this is going to be a better & more scary ride..

  • Loved series 1 so much will watch re run on SYFY starting on Thursday!!
Double bills even better!!! Does this mean once series 1 re runs have finished, SYFY will launch right into V series 2????
    Please say yes......

  •  In the modern day of the internet you don't have to wait until Season 2 starts on syfy to watch it.

I watched the first episode of season 2 on the net within hours of its premiere in America.

  • We are so very disappointed to see that V seems to have stopped on Channel One. We have watched all episodes religiously and are desperate to continue viewing this fabulous TV show. It's our favourite. Been a long time since such a superb show has been aired, I'm so surprised it is not on one of the UK main channels like it was the first time -all those years ago!!

Can anyone help us know how we buy this or view this series?

  • Aaarrgh! I put down the paintbrush and left the whitewashing until later. I settled with a cuppa and a few chocs, ready for V. Hooked from the beginning and never missed an episode! I waited impatient for the clock to reach 8pm. But then - DISASTER! It's not on!!!! I searched the numerous channels and the Visitors are nowhere to be found. I search the internet and found this site and low and behold, I find the Vs have left earth, at least the UK anyway! Blast, darn it and various other expletives! Back to the paintbrush and white emulsion. Why do TV companies do that? It's flamin annoying that's what it is!

  •  please can you tell me when seson 2 of v is on as i loved the first one

  • It definitely starts tonight in the US on ABC so we may not get it until the middle of the year. I hope its soon though.

  • When is series 2 of V going to air on UK TV? I caught the repeat of the series on channel 1 and thought it was wicked - now eager to know when it's coming back. Let us know please.

  • Syfy Please let us know when series 2 will be aired in the UK.

  • Not due to start in the States until 4/1/11, should have staretd in November.  Wonder if it will make the UK

  • so then is it true that the 'new' episodes that have started last week are not new at all.... this is on 'channel one' ?

  • Please can someone tell me when the new series starts, i'm getting impatient

  • Has everyone seen Diane (1980s) on Neighbours - makes me feel very old.

  • Does anyone know when season 2 is starting on Sy-fi.

My wife and me really got into the first series and are eagerly awaiting the new season.

It took me a while to get into the old "V" with Marc Singer and Robert Englund.

But really loving the new version. Good actors and good parts. Quite simular to the old version with a modern twist.

  • someone further down said new series may air in a few weeks !!! Let us know if so

  • Just wanted to say that 'V2010' has been a fantastic series.  What a lovely surprise.   I watched the original 'V' in the 1980's and was worried that the updated version would  be a dissapointment and a rehash of the original.   How wrong could I be...!!!   The new series has been both fresh and exciting.   Well done syfy channel.   Roll on series 2.

  • can wait for season 2, am hoping what i heard is true about diane involved in it. would be best series ever.

  • Just finished catching up with V and would like to say what an excellent series it was, far exceeded expectations.  Really, really hoping Syfy will show Series 2 as soon as it airs in the States.

  • when ???

  • v2009 is great much better then the 1985 series

  • Can you tell me if and when syfy will repeat V2010 really loved the original but was on holiday when it started and hubby turned off sky so nothing recorded thax

  • hi nicola , the whole of series 1 is getting repeated on channel 1 ( the old virgin channel ) not sure when but advert says coming soon

  • Thanks for letting me know - I think its back on Thursday week. I shall look forward to it.

  • What a finish.....Marcus is 5th Column i'm certain. Please can we have a date for series 2??

  • Loved the first series, but now anxiously awaiting series 2...

When will it be shown? have looked almost everywhere and dont see it listed

  •  Can't SYFY show the last episode again? Bite the bullet and pay a little bit more to the license holder to show it.

It's a poor showing to simply give an apology, with resolving the issue.

  • Some of our beloved viewers will have experienced a disappointment if the timeslot they set their Sky+ or V+ for was one of the many repeats we aired, because the pattern changed in the last week due to a special event across the Prime Time schedule from Monday 28th June, so all repeats of the finale were scheduled in the previous week.

The premiere episodes of "V" aired every Tuesday at 10pm (the only exception was on launch night of 13th April when we aired a double-bill, so episode 2 was at 11pm).  In all of our marketing, PR and on-air promotions we only communicated the Tuesday at 10pm message as this was the chosen timeslot for the series.  Repeats were scheduled at various times across the week in Prime Time in an effort to allow for the most convenient consumption for our viewers. Where possible, we do aim to keep repeats at the same time, to avoid such situations, however they are prone to movement.  Things affecting this are licensing windows (plays may have expired) or other programming events taking precedence.

We have shown each episode the maximum number of times for our current license, however we do plan to air the series from the beginning again in the near future, hopefully towards the end of the year, but as yet unconfirmed.

We will bear this in mind for future scheduling, but for now it's best to ascertain the premiere episode and record from that slot as it's very unlikely to move from there.

    The Syfy Team

  • Any confirmed news on a re-run of Series 1?

Only had Sky installed last month so missed all previous showings.
